It’s not a grant: Demystifying the Social Finance Fund

Nonprofits can go beyond the traditional financing methods of donations, program funding, and earned revenue to start or scale their mission driven activities.

The Government of Canada’s Social Innovation and Social Finance Strategy (SI/SF) aims to help social purpose organizations, such as nonprofits, to access flexible financing opportunities that enable them to grow and enhance their impacts. As part of the strategy, a $755 million social finance fund will be deployed this year.

Nonprofits can take advantage of the social finance fund to advance their missions.
