Leading a culture of accessibility

Many nonprofit organizations serve and engage with vulnerable populations, so it’s no surprise that accessibility – in all its definitions – is of high importance to the sector. EnAbling Nonprofits Ontario helps strengthen the capacity and ability of nonprofits to understand their compliance requirements under The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The resources, webinar recordings, and case studies below help us understand the practices to make our organizations accessible to persons of all ages and abilities.

We want to commit to build awareness and promotion of accessibility. In 2015 and 2016, we worked with the sector to share tools and resources to help integrate accessibility into the culture of Ontario’s nonprofit sector. We will continue to promote accessibility and keep the sector updated on relevant legislation and policy.
