Reimagining Governance is a collaborative initiative between ONN and Ignite NPS. Our goal is to provoke a shift in how we talk about and do governance in nonprofit organizations so they’re better positioned for positive impact. The Reimagining Governance Lab, a virtual hub for innovation, shares stories, tools, and resources.
We started by asking a big question: are the current approaches to nonprofit governance working? The answers reflected the rich diversity of the sector, but what we heard, loud and clear, is that there is a great desire and opportunity for innovating how we do nonprofit governance.
Special thanks to Heather Graham and Lisa Villeneuve, who drew on their experience and tools and were integral in the Learning Lab process. This involved several months of deep work with a variety of nonprofits and the Reimagining Governance team. Each nonprofit unfolded a unique journey and engagement with early versions of Reimagining Governance resources and tools, ultimately helping make them better before we could share them in the Lab.
