Events

In addition to our regular webinars, ONN hosts regional events and special events like our annual conference, Nonprofit Driven.

Regional Events

ONN is hitting the road again and we may be hosting an event in your region soon! Regional events are an opportunity for nonprofits, charities, and community organizations to deepen relationships with each other, think big picture, and work together for a thriving local nonprofit environment.

What to expect at regional events?

  • Scale: 40-60 sector peers. This number may vary slightly by region.
  • Provincial scope: Explore policies, strategies, and partnerships happening in Ontario’s nonprofit sector.
  • Regional focus: Discuss how broader issues and trends are showing up in your region.
  • Strategize and collaborate with a network approach to address key issues facing the Ontario nonprofit sector on a regional and provincial level.
  • Enjoy a light breakfast and lunch.

Fall regional events:

If you’re interested in hosting a regional event with us or have questions about these gatherings, please contact Erin.

The Well Events

The Well was born out ONN’s annual conference, where for the last two years, Black, Indigenous and racialized workers came together to network, relationship build, share information and connect about the issues that were impacting their work. We are piloting an ongoing space for Black, Indigenous and racialized workers to connect year long. Access to psychological safety is a core aspect of decent work. The Well is intended to be a space where participants can network and learn about centering practices of wellness as part of accessing decent work.

Upcoming The Well event:

Storytelling and healing – October 20 from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm

This session will focus on key concepts in storytelling from Indigenous thought, critical race theory, and feminism that include: the importance of lived experience, the body as archive, and stillness and reflection in healing.

Facilitators: Maral Aguilera-Moradipour, (she/her), and Shauna Kechego-Nichols, Anishinaabe Kwe (she/her)
